Jay Snelson

On Publishing The V-50 Lectures

A Note from Chas Holloway

Substack is a new platform and video is still in beta. I signed up and have been approved, so I thought I’d post this video of Jay Snelson, which we shot around 2009.

Yesterday, I posted the first three sessions of Galambos’ Course V-50. It’s interesting to compare them to Jay’s The V-50 Lectures. Please subscribe, and check them out. A subscription costs $6 per month — a small price to pay for the creation of freedom! And there’s lots of great additional content, too.

Andrew J. Galambos’ Course V-50.

In 1964, Galambos asked Jay to create a course out of a seminar he called “F-100,” which had become too long and ungainly. The new course would be called “F-50,” meaning it should be about half the length of the original.

While doing so, it occurred to Jay to call Galambos’ work “Volitional Science,” instead of the more awkward “Freedom Science,” which sounded vaguely cultish and mystical. Galambos liked the suggestion and adopted the idea.

Jay’s reorganized seminar, called The V-50 Lectures, was more popular with audiences than any course FEI had ever offered. Over fourteen years, more than 15 thousand people attended. With it, Jay created at least ninety percent of the Volitional Science market. Because audiences were growing at an exponential rate, had Jay been allowed to continue, the world would look very different today.

Instead, politics is being run by the criminally insane and civilization is in rapid decline. It’s time to resurrect what remains of Galambos’ intellectual property. It’s time to raise the Phoenix from the ashes.
