Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs
by Chas Holloway
Maslow’s famous “hierarchy” was never actually drawn as a pyramid by Maslow himself. The neat pyramid image that fills textbooks today was added later by management consultants and educators who wanted a snappy visual.
Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is an episode of Thinkopolis, a micro-podcast about the people, events and oddities of western civilization, written and produced by Chas Holloway.
New episodes of Thinkopolis are released every Tuesday and Thursday on Substack.
If you like Thinkopolis, become a PAID subscriber and get access to the Thinkopolis Archives, where you can access hundreds of episodes. New episodes are added every week. A subscription costs only $6 per month.
